Guidelines

*Arkansas resident, U.S. citizen, and 2008 graduate of Arkansas high school
*One of the following:
-29 ACT minimum (or comparable SAT score) and 3.500 gpa

-Governor’s Distinguished Scholarship recipient
-National Merit finalist & semi/finalist
*competitive process

-tuition & fees (15 hrs)
-room & board
-$1200 per year
-limited # competitively awarded

15 credit hours each fall and spring semester to total 30 hours per year
3.500 cumulative gpa per year
One honors course must be completed fall and spring semester
Renewable up to eight semesters

Chancellor's Scholarship
Priority Application Date: December 1, 2007
Guidelines

Dean's Scholarship

-Valedictorian /Salutatorian with 24 ACT minimum

15 credit hours each fall and spring semester to total 30 hours per year
3.000 cumulative gpa per year
Renewable up to eight semesters

Future Arkansas Leaders Scholarship

*20 minimum ACT (or comparable SAT score) and high school gpa of 3.000
*Demonstrated leadership

-$1000 per semester
-limited # awarded

12 credit hours each fall and spring semester to total 24 hours per year
2.500 gpa
Renewable up to eight semesters

* Submit Scholarship application

*Request official transcripts and ACT/SAT scores be sent to ASU Admissions from the high school
* Submit 2 letters of recommendation showing proof of leadership
*Submit written statement indicating potential for future leadership ability

-3.000 gpa and top 10% of graduating class with a minimum of 20 class members

-$500 per semester for first two consecutive semesters -limited # awarded

Beyond Boundaries

*Non-Arkansas resident, U.S. citizen,

*Arkansas resident, U.S. citizen, transferring from Arkansas two-year institution with 45 earned hours and a 3.250 cumulative gpa both from the Arkansas Two-year institution

-$3600 per year
four consecutive semesters
-$1000 per semester for
Jonesboro on-campus
housing for four consecutive semesters
-limited # awarded

12 credit hours each fall and spring semester to total 24 hours per year
3.000 cumulative gpa per year
Renewable for four semesters or until bachelor’s degree received – whichever comes first

Thompson Minority
Application Deadline: February 15, 2008
Guidelines

*Minority students who qualify for in-state tuition, U.S. citizen,
*Incoming freshmen must have a high school cumulative GPA of 3.00
*Recipients must reside in ASU housing during the term of the award

-$1000 per semester
for first two consecutive semesters -limited # awarded

Nonrenewable, but students may reapply each year.

ALL STUDENTS COMPLETING THE ADMISSION APPLICATION PROCEDURE BY DECEMBER 1, 2007 WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY PLACEMENT IN THE SCHOLARSHIP AWARDING PROCESS BASED ON THEIR ELIGIBILITY AS OF DECEMBER 1, 2007.
