Stafford Loan Entrance Interview
Welcome to the Arkansas State University Student Loan Counseling Page.
The U.S. Department of Education REQUIRES that all FIRST TIME Stafford Loan borrowers complete a Stafford loan entrance interview prior to receiving your first disbursement of the loan proceeds. This interview is only required to be completed ONE time as a student at Arkansas State University.
This policy applies to transfer students even if you have completed an entrance interview at a previous school.
Keep in mind: Most loan funds are not available on the first day of classes to assist you with the purchase of books. You should plan ahead to purchase your own books.
You may select the appropriate counseling session by clicking on the graphic below. You will be asked to select Entrance Counseling. If you have recently applied for your first loan, click on "Entrance Counseling." If you have any questions as you complete the counseling requirements, you may contact our student loan officer at 870-972-2310.
